It happens at least five more times during the winter but never had a problem since. Problem usually occurs on wet roads; one time they repaired a loose heat shrink, another time they replaced a wire that appeared to have cracked insulation in the wire harness. And my stabilitrak and traction control light is on service both warning also. Traction control and service stabilitrac light comes on constantly since the 70,000 mile range and getting more frequent. It had previously been replaced!!! The last couple of months been experiencing a problem with the Stabilitrak.
I have all the service invoices. We did this and and apparently the reset was effective as the stabilitrack symbol was displayed and disappeared as mentioned. I am concerned with this being an ongoing problem. They took it in trade, knowing the problems I had experienced. The vehicle is going back to the dealership.
Happened in a parking lot twice. I have read over and over about this! Called dealership next morning and was told the battery was good the week before when I took it home. And trip to dealer itself is so much time consuming. Gm quality has gone down hill in my eyes. I had a check engine light message occur after having my vehicle Malibu 2013 for only a month.
I will seek a lemon law attorney, any suggestions. I have corrected the problem before but now I am having the same problems again. That is also about how many miles we had driven before dinner. I figured if we were 3 years into the model life that would be enough time. This is the government agency that you need to go to and register your complaint. Not covered under warrenty i had to buy a new one. The dealer called today and stated that the motor was getting too much oil and they were replacing the pistons because of it.
Chevy should recall all these rigs and repair. I have tried about every resource I can think of to get this dealer to correct this. After moving from a complete stop, The truck makes a very hard shift into 2nd gear whlie the traction light is on. I also think it is time to look into your State and Federal rights. So it happened 3 days ago but this time I called Onstar and had them run a diagnostic right then and there as it was happening while I was driving in low power mode. I spent so much on changing the bulbs and that was not the problem. Even though it was not under warranty, they still gave me a car to drive.
So this is the big first issue I have had with it basically breaking down on me. Bought it used in 2012. And i just went out of warranty how damn wonderful! I just hate that someone else will buy my car and have the same problem. This alternated back and forth until I was able to get pulled off onto the shoulder. Since the stabiltrak light came on my vehicle has a real hard time starting and when it does start it idles rough. It difficult at time when crossing in to traffic since the vihicle has trouble acclerating i fearful of a crash with vehicle pulling behind me. I brought it in and they said it is the brake switch — I have no problem with the brakes.
Now Monday night and dealer has not looked at it yet. Once I got to the thruway toll my truck was shaking and when I went to pull away it was shifting very hard from first to second gear. Dealer gave me a new Acadia to use for the week. A few days later it happened again. Obviously when the mechanic walked out to the car, it cranked on the first try. The dealership acts as if though they have never heard of this problem and it is normal that a brand new truck should be in the shop? This put my truck in what they call limp mode which is very violent when this happens.
I have called 2 dealerships and still waiting on a call back to schedule an appointment as they were both on lunch when I called. Why should this part fail again??? Wth is going on here. If your StabiliTrak problems result in repetitive trips to the shop, it is very important that you speak to a who can steer you toward recovery. I just saw there is a recall on what it sounds to be my problem. Athe first the dealership took apart the transmission thinking that was the problem.
